What could have been a demure attempt to show how similar we all really are and how too few realize it, became, well, this thing. Lucious has been sent to his room and told he must make several mindless videos before he can come out again. When will this cat learn?

Jesus turns a hawkish corner

My favorite bellicose megaphone, Dr. James Dobson, tore John McCain a brand new one for failing to endorse the use of torture on Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the suspected mastermind of the Sept. 11 attacks. Personally I always felt Jesus would have been strongly in favor of torture, as evidenced from Matthew 5:39 where Jesus says

“But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If someone strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also.”

Doesn’t that just make it pointedly clear that Jesus would bite the ear off a man’s head if he thought he might be holding back with vital information? I mean Dobson can see it, what the heck is wrong with the rest of you?
